A Critical Turning Point for Humanity

We are standing at the crossroads of the human condition, a critical turning point for humanity, which is calling for a great awakening and the genesis of systemic change. A resounding plea for spiritual evolution is reverberating amidst our turbulent times, echoing the divine call for humanity to open its’ collective heart to compassion over indifference, reverence over destruction, and love over power, to heal our world of its’ injustices.

We are in a ‘revolution of evolution’ – not a battle with armor but a quest for spiritual epiphany. We are at the precipice of mass awakening, which is calling for the genesis of systemic change. The tyranny will end when we RISE from the depths of egotism to the realm of higher consciousness to see with the eyes of the soul.

THE FACE OF SOUL

The ego’s shadow has been cast upon a cultural history of oppression brought upon by an egocentric society in a state of ‘spiritual disconnect’: an illusory separateness in consciousness. The veil that lies over injustice in our society can no longer be obscured behind the devastation it has left visibly in its’ wake. Iniquity is born of spiritual ignorance controlled by the ego, which seeks to annihilate and gain dominance, causing diabolical destruction and a legacy of collective suffering.

The Holocaust was the largest genocide of humans in modern history, methodically murdered in a systematic destruction of race, and part of a broader aggregate of acts of oppression and killing of various ethnic and political groups in Europe by the Nazis. Of the nine million Jews who resided in Europe before the Holocaust, approximately two-thirds were killed. In total, approximately 11 million people were murdered, including one million Jewish children alone.

The death camps of Auschwitz functioned as industrialized factory farms, profiting from mass murder.

The Civil Rights Movement was one of the greatest collective efforts for social justice in our history and a freedom movement to gain equality for African Americans. This social justice movement was a mass protest against racial discrimination and segregation in the southern United States and had its roots in the centuries-long struggle of African slaves against racial oppression and their efforts to abolish the institution of slavery. The passage of major civil rights legislation was victorious for the movement, but by then activists had begun to see their struggle as a freedom/liberation movement for civil rights reforms and confronting the enduring economic, political, and cultural consequences of past racial oppression.

The activists of this movement sought to bring awareness to the struggle for equality, in the sacrifice of their own lives, which continues to this day.

The shackles of oppression continues its legacy to this day through the systematic holocaust of the nonhuman species in a culture of institutionalized mass murder, which has perpetuated collective suffering and the demise of our planet. Discrimination against a particular species [speciesism] is as morally indefensible as racism or bigotry. The crimes of inhumanity upon our fellow earthlings is a tragic reflection of the loss of soul in our society.

The human species has spiritually disconnected in the mire of egotism, which cannot feel the pain and suffering it has caused the tortured souls of our fellow earthlings, who are crying for salvation, knocking at the heart of humanity for love’s entrance.

The evolution of humanity necessitates the evolution of soul consciousness toward ALL living beings and transforming the illusory belief that the human species is superior to all other species based on the villosity of skin, which is perceived with a disparate separateness and inequality. When our perceptual view of all life is seen as a ‘thou’ rather than an ‘it’ in consciousness, the source of injustice can be witnessed for what it is and transformed. Then history will no longer be repeated, but instead, history will be made, leaving a legacy of reverence for all life on our planet.

As we celebrate our freedom and right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, our fellow earthlings do not enjoy the same inherent freedom. In every single day of human existence, millions of sentient beings are systematically enslaved, tortured and killed in the name of greed at the hands of “humanity” with no regard for their lives. The rights of the nonhuman species is the greatest justice issue of our time and is, in fact, a ‘soul’ issue perpetuated by an egocentric society in a state of ‘spiritual disconnect.’

Their cries for mercy are unheard by a society that perceives the villosity of skin with a disparate separateness and perception of inequality.

When society frees its vision from the body’s eyes to see with the eyes of the soul, it will truly be liberated at the highest level – the vibration of love – where injustice will be eradicated by the principle of equality of all living beings, who have the inalienable right to life, possessed by the very nature of one’s existence, not predicated on the worth of a particular species. The interests and welfare of all living beings should be considered purely on the basis of the right to life, ability to feel suffering and moral principle.

Let freedom ring for our fellow earthlings. Then they will be “free at last! Thank God Almighty, they will be free at last!”

THE TRUTH ABOUT THE DOG AND CAT FUR TRADE

DO YOU KNOW WHERE THE FUR TRIM ON YOUR JACKET COMES FROM?

Unbeknownst to most, the majority of fur-trimmed clothing and accessories (even trinkets and pet toys) labeled as “faux fur” or “synthetic” is likely real fur, mostly from cats and dogs. It is estimated that over 2 million domestic cats and dogs (the majority stolen pets and homeless strays) are killed in China every year for their fur (not including other parts of Asia), where they are rounded up and transported in sacks and crates. Some are held in dingy, dark unheated buildings during the bitter winter of northern China, often without food or water.

There are no governing laws to protect animals, resulting in horrific torment and death for these companion animals, who are loaded by the hundreds onto trucks in cages stacked on top of each other. When they reach their fatal destination, their cages are tossed from the tops of the trucks onto the ground 10 feet below, shattering their legs. Many of the animals have collars on, a sign that they were once beloved pets, stolen to be bludgeoned, drowned, hanged, bled to death, strangled with wire nooses, and even skinned alive, so that their fur can be turned into fur trim, coats, hats, gloves and other accessories; their skins are even used in the production of drums and other musical instruments. The fur is exported under false labeling to North America and Europe to unsuspecting consumers.

This largely unknown animal protection issue is exposed in the Documentary Film CRY OF THE INNOCENT: The Voices That Can’t Speak, bringing the trade into the international spotlight. Through the Director’s strategic partnership with ACTAsia, the film has made great strides throughout Asia with groundbreaking media coverage in China, the world’s largest exporter of animal skins and the mecca of the cat and dog fur trade, breaking through the ‘iron curtain’ of media control in China. The film was translated in Chinese language and screened in Shenzhen, China at a press conference attended by the national media, making a significant impact on its viewers. The film received precedent-setting TV news coverage in China exposing the trade at its epicenter, where it broadcasted footage from the film.

The Film Series is a call to action for the billions of nonhuman animals around the world who suffer and die tragically in silence, their cries for mercy unheard, hoping in their hearts that we will hear their pleas for life and set them free.

CRY OF THE INNOCENT: The Voices That Can’t Speak is a precedent-setting Documentary Film Series which elicits a spiritual perspective to this dark subject, so that an awakening can occur from a deeper level of the psyche.
